Lavender Season 2018 is here!

Welcome to Sixteen Sprigs Lavender Farm

We are a small lavender farm located in the heart of Michigan. We have two locations – our primary production plot is located on our family farm in Ithaca, Michigan and we also have a demonstration garden right downtown Lansing. This location is only a few minutes from Michigan State University and a stone’s throw from the state capitol. Lavender farming enables us to pursue our passion of bringing beauty into the world and preserving our rural and agricultural heritage.

We are a small operation – less than 900 plants – but we are still dreaming of fields bathed in all manner of blues, purples, and periwinkles. Our fascination with this legendary crop continues to grow with additional plantings each spring as we find new ways to share the gospel of lavender with others. Currently, we focus on producing both Angustifolia lavenders and lavandins specifically suited to the unique sandy, loamy soils and cold climate of our Great Lakes region. At Sixteen Sprigs, we grow several varieties of lavender and offer “U-Pick” during the blooming season.

Lavender is in bloom in Michigan from mid-June to late July. At the demonstration garden in Lansing we host open farm days during this time. You won’t want to miss the purple haze and the heavenly scent wafting down our lavender hill. We can provide tours if you book in advance.

Want to buy our handcrafted lavender products? Visit us at the Meridian Farmers Market during the summer or any of the other retail stores that carry our lavender line.  Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date announcements about where else we might ‘pop-up’. Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you enjoy your stay and return often!

Peace, Love and Purple!
